About Cockade Golf Club
Club Overview
Cockade is a private golf club being founded on 345 acres of sandy pine and hardwood creek bottoms in the South Carolina Lowcountry. It’s built around one course and one hundred members, for people who care about the golf above all else.
The Course
Eighteen holes, routed to follow the land rather than fight it. The sandy ground plays firm and fast, with wide corridors, thoughtful bunkering and greens that reward imagination. Cockade is a walking club, with caddie play encouraged.
The Club
Cockade will have one hundred members and one golf course. There are no tee times. Members walk, play with a caddie, and set their own games. The clubhouse is simple: a locker room, a grill, and a dining room for after the round. Cottages on the property let members and their guests stay the night and play again in the morning. Beyond that, the club is the golf and the people who play it.
The Founder
Cockade was founded by Jack Newall, who has a deep appreciation for golf architecture and a passion for private golf. He is building Cockade with one goal: to create the best experience in golf, from the moment a member arrives on the property to the moment they leave.
